CBWC – Cute factor

Cees black and white challenge this week is the cute factor.

Couldn’t have a topic of cute without at least one photograph of Charlie dog and who could resist having to just sit there with something so cute.

Next is my photograph of the cute little seagull chicks although they didn’t stay this tiny for long. This photograph is from around this time last year during the COVID lockdown in the UK and we hope we will see some more chicks this year as they are already sitting on the same nest.

Bird weekly – Photo challenge – Birds with white feathers

Although I am slightly late for this weeks it is nice to get back to searching my photographs for pictures of birds, at the moment they still seem to be one of my favourite things to photograph even with a fear for them flying close to me. The topic for this weeks bird weekly photo challenge is birds with white feathers.

This has to be one of my favourite birds with white feathers, to me they are so graceful.

Trumpeter Swan
Mute Swan
Black necked swans

This is probably one of the most common birds that I see were I live so it would be so wrong of me to not put at least one seagull picture in this blog. This one is one of the regular visitors to where I work (A school, so lots of possibilities of food dropped on the floor by the kids) they certainly like to get up close and personal.

The following images are those birds with flashes of white feathers somewhere on their body as opposed to being all white.

Are you Square? – October – three of a kind

This month is The life of B’s quarterly challenge of which in October is all about kind photographs.

Work was so busy yesterday I missed day one but hopefully I will be able to post a kind blog everyday from now 🤞.

Today’s picture was taken during the lockdown and I have posted it before but for me, it shows kind in 2 ways. Firstly, it has 3 of a kind with its 3 baby seagull and secondly, it has it parent kindly taking care of them while they are young and vulnerable (The seagulls may just appear again before the end of the month)

Bird weekly – Photo challenge – Seagulls

This weeks bird weekly photo challenge is show photographs of seagulls. At the moment seem to love taking photographs of seagulls.

This photograph has to be one of my favourite seagull photographs, it was taken at Martin Mere. I just find it so amusing as it looks like the one at the front is actually shouting at me for taking its photograph.

These are some of the seagulls that we see at work, as I work in a school we see lots of them especially after the pupils have had their break.

Right opposite the office that I am in there is a flat roof and one day while in work during lockdown I glanced out the window to see this seagull sitting on a nest right in the corner The photograph isn’t the best as I only had my phone camera and had to zoom right in.

These are the chicks once they started moving around on the roof, there were originally three but one went overnight.

I managed to get a picture on our last day before the school holidays

I had to go back into school after 4 weeks to help with the exam grades and it was lovely to see the little ones still on the roof, but just look at how much they have grown.

Bird weekly – Photo challenge – Black and white

In this weeks bird weekly photo challenge is any bird as long as it is black and white or sepia.

I couldn’t resist this little bird that I think may be a robin that was sat on the wall on a day trip to the Lake District yesterday.

This next picture has to my all time favourite photograph of a bird in black and white and I do tend to post it lots.

My last couple of pictures were taken last week where I work before my holidays these are some of the seagulls and the little chicks that are around the office.
