Vacations past

The topic for Nancy Merrill’s challenge this week is vacation memories.

Although each weekend we vist the caravan this does not always feel like it is a holiday but since being with Mr H we hhave been on some lovely holidays especially in the Lake District but this week I was reminded that our first holiday together was in the Isle of Man Below are some of the photographs from that holiday.

We have recently also had some great camping holidays one to Hawkshead in the Lake District and one in Kirkby Stephen. Below are some of the photographs from them.

  1. Great photos, I remember having three consecutive holidays on the Isle of Man when I was 9, 10 and 11 years old, one year I climbed all the steps to the top of the Laxey Wheel. I like the shot of the pretty cobbled street, is that actually in Hawkshead?

      1. It is called Wordsworth Street, I am sure that we walked right up until it joined Vicarage Lane and along through a field to a footpath and came out at the Church. I love cobbled streets like that with little cottages. I think you will love it when you visit 🙂
