This blog is for this weeks bird weekly photo challenge which is photographs of birds of prey and also for life captured challenge which was unexpected findings.
Before you look at the picture I am sorry for such a graphic photograph.
The last couple of weeks we have been staying at the caravan during the school holidays. Early one evening Mr H and I were just sat watching the television when I turned around to see this was definitely not what I expected to see. Although I am not really surprised that there are birds of prey around the caravan as there is a lot of farmland around but this is the first time I have ever seen a bird of prey so close in the wild.

Yes, that is what they do! Great capture for you and the bird of prey. Do you know what kind of bird that is? Not so much for the guy who was dinner. 🙂 Thank you for making my point in my own blog about why I don’t put bird seed in my feeders during the summer because of the Kites. 🙂

We think it may be a goshawk as somebody at the caravan park says that there is a family of goshawk breeding at a local farm 🙂
